Eight places to start. Pick the one that is loudest right now — the rest will still be here.
One ordered list instead of twelve open tabs — what to do, in what order, and what each step takes. The steps below are an example; answer the questions and the plan rebuilds around what you tell us.

Example profile — Elmira, New York · felony record · no vehicle right now · looking for work and affordable housing
Example planTick a step to see how it feels. Nothing you tick here is kept. On the plan page itself, the steps you mark stay in this browser — no account involved.
A state ID or driver's licence unlocks almost everything else — a job, an apartment, a bank account, benefits. Start with whichever document you already have and work backward from there.
American Job Centers run funded training and can set up the Federal Bonding Program and the Work Opportunity Tax Credit with an employer on your behalf. Ask for the reentry specialist.
Start with roles that don't require a licence, don't require your own vehicle, and sit on a bus route. Three good applications beat thirty scattered ones.
Look at transitional and reentry housing alongside private rentals. Programs built for reentry screen differently than management companies do.
Reduced-fare cards and work-trip passes exist specifically for people starting a new job. Apply before your first day, not after.

A ZIP code or a city name is all we need. We never ask for your address.
These are constraints on the product, not a mission statement.
You are never asked to explain or justify your record here. We ask what you need next, not what happened.
When something is genuinely restricted, we say so plainly, point at the authority that decides it, and show you what is open instead.
Felonies, misdemeanors, probation, parole, and registration requirements are all supported. Registry and supervision resources sit alongside everything else, not behind a warning.
Everything usable anonymously stays usable anonymously. No account is required to search the directory, read anything here, or answer the plan questions.
What we never ask you for
